Is private email hosting better than Microsoft 365?
It depends on your needs. Microsoft 365 makes sense for businesses that heavily use Teams, SharePoint, or other M365 apps. Private hosted email makes more sense for businesses that primarily need reliable email on their own domain without the overhead and cost of a full M365 subscription. We’ll give you a straight recommendation after understanding your situation.
Can you migrate our existing email to your hosting?
Yes — we handle full email migrations including historical messages, contacts, and calendar data. We do this with minimal downtime using a staged cutover approach. You won’t lose email during the migration and your team will have continuous access throughout the process.
How does your email hosting compare in price to Microsoft 365?
For businesses that only need email, our private hosting is typically more cost-effective than M365 because you’re not paying for apps you don’t use. For businesses that use the full M365 suite, it may make more sense to stay on M365 and have us manage it. We’ll give you a straight comparison when you call.
What happens to our email if CyteWorks has an issue?
We run redundant systems and maintain backups of all email data. Our underground facility is disaster-protected by design — 125 feet of limestone above the servers. In the extremely unlikely event of an outage, we have documented recovery procedures and we communicate proactively with affected clients. We’ve been running this facility since 2001.
